Autism – Building Positive Outcomes 2011

Autism – Building Positive Outcomes 2011

On the 26th of February 2011 we hosted our first free parent and professional seminar in Melbourne. The event featured leading international Behaviour Analyst, Dr Bobby Newman, along with a panel of Australian ASD experts. The program was designed to provide parents, professionals and caregivers with essential and practical information on topics such as: what is Autism, funding entitlements, early intervention options and behaviour strategies.

This seminar gave us the opportunity to bring invaluable information to those living and working with children with ASD, and most importantly, at no cost to families who are already struggling with the financial burden of caring for a child on the spectrum.

The event was made possible by the generous sponsorship of the Victorian state government, Department of Human Services.

Here’s what people had to say about the day

“You gave us information, practical advice, possible solutions and you made us laugh…. you also gave us hope and the comfort and reassurance provided by just being in a room with people on the same journey.” David and Marian

“I just had to thank you all so much for the tremendous organisation and presentation of information at yesterdays seminar in Melbourne . I truly gained so much info, and what’s more, the reassurance that there is hope and light at the end of that tunnel. Your collective insight was just so reassuring and some of the anecdotes were hilarious.” Christine
