Meet our Speakers

Kathrine Peereboom is a mother to three profoundly autistic sons and a national disability advocate. She has spent over a decade training frontline police officers across Australia to better understand and support the disability community. Kathrine is also the driving force behind iSafe Connect, a groundbreaking initiative bridging communication between people with disabilities and emergency services. In addition, she runs a disability based dance school that provides inclusive opportunities for people of all abilities. With lived experience and professional expertise, Kathrine brings a unique and compassionate voice to conversations on profound autism.

Tim Pryde is a devoted father to an inspiring young man with profound autism. His son’s extraordinary challenges and experiences have fuelled Tim’s advocacy, driving him to speak out for this neglected cohort. Together with his wife Emily, Tim brings a no-nonsense approach to raising awareness for individuals with profound autism, with a drive to ensure that people like his son are seen, heard, and valued. Balancing the demands of his professional life with the responsibilities of family life, Tim’s journey is one of resilience, stubborn determination, and unwavering faith.

Nicole Rogerson (host) is CEO of Autism Awareness Australia, with decades of experience advocating for autistic people and their families.
